Here at Flow-Mon Ltd, we take great pride in our Flow Monitoring range of Products. We hope you will be able to find the Spinner, Rising Ball Sight Indicator, Spout, Spinner or Flap style Double Glass Window, or if you need an adjustable Flow Switch between 1/4″ (8mm) to 12″ (300mm) with a hi or low alarm switch setpoint, or 4-20mA output for use in either a safe area or a hazardous area (ATEX).

All of our Flow Monitors are individually calibrated to your water, oil or safe gas applications, whether that is a simple mechanical indication to having multiple switches and 4-20mA output. Material Certificates, Pressure Test Certificates, Certificates of Conformity are also available upon request.

We specialize in the supply of flow meters, flow devices and control instrumentation designed for the manufacturing and process industries. Our extensive range of flow indicators has the answer to any flow monitoring application, no matter how simple or complex.

Where a visual indication is enough to gauge the consistency of system flow, we provide robust ball and spinner sight indicators, which utilize glass domes for simple visual verification.

Where the observation of fluid characteristics is required, typically in plant settings involving lubricant or coolant flow to compressors, engines, and pumps, our spout and flap double window sight glass indicators are ideal.

For more intricate applications, our water and oil indicators and monitors are available in a variety of sizes, incorporating numerous of features and functions, including flow switches, spring-loaded valve plates, and mechanical pointers to indicate the flow on an individually calibrated scale. With the capability to handle almost all liquids and gases (safe gas), our water and oil indicators are sure to meet your requirements.

Small Monitor

Water and Oil Indicators/Monitors – SMALL

Suitable for practically all liquids and gases (safe gas). A spring-loaded valve plate is deflected proportionate to the flow in the line. A mechanical pointer indicates the flow on an individually calibrated scale. Whether you are looking for an Oil Flow Monitor or a Water Flow Monitor our Small Series will be ideal for your application.

Sizes BSP, NPT, and Flanged connection:  PN16, 40, Ansi150, 300 (other configurations also available)

Small 1/4″ – 1″

Body Material:
AL = Aluminium
B = Bronze
CI = Cast Iron
CIK = Cast Iron Nickel Plated
S = Carbon Steel
SS = Stainless Steel
DUP = Duplex (F51)
PTFE = PTFE
PVC = PVC

Application

Water, De-Ionised Water, Soluble Oils (Glycols), Petroleum Based Fluids, Synthetic-Based Fluids, Coolants, Corrosive Fluids, Paints, Solvents, Air & Gases

Function;

A scaled dial and mechanical indicator continuously monitor the flow rate at any given time whilst electrical switches can be specified to signal when a particular level has been reached during increasing or decreasing flow rates.

Various switching options are available in standard nylon or metal (Bronze, Aluminium or Stainless steel) enclosure box. SPDT, DPDT, 4-20mA for both safe and hazardous areas.

Minimum Scale:  LPM, 0 – 40 LPM
Maximum Scale:  LPM,   0 – 70 LPM
(pipe size 1/4’ – 1’

Style

Through its unique modular design, it allows for easy field installation and service. It does not require any straight pipe runs before or after the monitor thus minimizing the installation footprint. The versatile design of the vane monitor allows for orientation to be mounted in any position.

The vane-style monitor operates when a flow is introduced through the inlet connection making direct contact with the vane that is mechanically linked to the indicator shaft. The fluid forces the vane to move through a contoured opening creating a variable orifice, the greater the flow the larger the orifice becomes for flow to pass. The vane style monitor is spring-loaded and allows the vane to return on decreasing flows.

Switches

Are field adjustable, suitable for batching, trending, totalizing or recording where required? All Flow-Mon units can be supplied with a 0-10v or 4- 20mA output.

Sizes

All sizes are manufactured to the same simple design concept, the main characteristic of which ensures that the pressure drops are confined to an absolute minimum (see “pressure drop” charts) across the vane orifice at full flow, with viscosities as high as 600cS.

Sizes are defined by pipe size and/or maximum flow capacity and every flow switch is individually calibrated so that full-scale deflection is used in each application i.e. the maximum scale reading coincides with the maximum requirements of a system as specified by the customer. Calibration may be in any units with Single or Dual scale to specification.

Medium Flow Monitor

A spring-loaded valve plate is deflected proportionate to the flow in the line. A mechanical pointer indicates the flow on an individually calibrated scale.

Various switching options are available in standard nylon or metal (Bronze, Aluminium or Stainless steel) enclosure box. SPDT, DPDT, 4-20mA for both safe and hazardous areas.
